Leitura: Lucas24:36-43 Nas epístolas de Paulo nós encontramos a palavra “mistério” repetida diversas vezes. Isto porque Paulo recebeu revelações desconhecidas dos profetas do Antigo Testamento e até dos apóstolos que andaram com Jesus. Aos outros apóstolos já tinha sido revelado o “mistério do Reino de Deus” (Mc 4:11), mas os mistérios revelados a Paulo não estão limitados à terra e ao tempo, como é o caso do Reino de mil anos, mas têm uma amplitude eterna. O “mistério” da ressurreição é um deles, e Paulo o apresenta aos Coríntios começando com o contraste da primeira Criação: “O primeiro homem era do pó da terra; o segundo homem, do céu. Os que são da terra são semelhantes ao homem terreno; os que são do céu, ao homem celestial. Assim como tivemos a imagem do homem terreno, teremos também a imagem do homem celestial. Irmãos, eu lhes declaro que carne e sangue não podem herdar o Reino de Deus, nem o que é perecível pode herdar o imperecível.” (1 Co 15:47-50). “Eis que eu lhes digo um mistério”, continua Paulo ao trazer uma revelação inédita: “Nem todos dormiremos, mas todos seremos transformados, num momento, num abrir e fechar de olhos, ao som da última trombeta. Pois a trombeta soará, os mortos ressuscitarão incorruptíveis e nós seremos transformados. Pois é necessário que aquilo que é corruptível se revista de incorruptibilidade, e aquilo que é mortal, se revista de imortalidade. Quando, porém, o que é corruptível se revestir de incorruptibilidade, e o que é mortal, de imortalidade, então se cumprirá a palavra que está escrita: ‘A morte foi destruída pela vitória’. ‘Onde está, ó morte, a sua vitória? Onde está, ó morte, o seu aguilhão?’ O aguilhão da morte é o pecado, e a força do pecado é a lei. Mas graças a Deus, que nos dá a vitória por meio de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.” (1 Co 15:51-57). Se o Cristo que você segue é apenas um provedor de benefícios para esta vida, então você ainda não conheceu o verdadeiro. Isto aqui é um grão de poeira comparado à eternidade. O Universo, o tempo e a matéria deixarão de existir quando “os céus desaparecerão com um grande estrondo, os elementos serão desfeitos pelo calor, e a terra, e tudo o que nela há, será desnudada... Naquele dia os céus serão desfeitos pelo fogo, e os elementos se derreterão pelo calor.  Todavia, de acordo com a sua promessa, esperamos novos céus e nova terra, onde habita a justiça.” (2 Pe 3:10-13). Em que vida estão suas expectativas? Nesta, sofrida e perecível, ou na eterna, em um corpo ressurreto semelhante ao de Jesus?

Nesta, suffering and perishable, or eternal, in a resurrection body like that of Jesus?
